ATLANTA, Ga. -- The King Center, along with the city of Atlanta, and other community partners, plans a special event to commemorate the upcoming 50th anniversary of the March on Washington and Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s historic "I Have a Dream" speech.
The Atlanta Global Freedom Exposition took place Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site. Among those who attended are King's daughter, Bernice King, who is the CEO of The King Center, U.S. Rep. John Lewis and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed.
The expo included social, financial and religious organizations and featured story-telling, musical performances and oral history recordings.
