Beautiful weather the next 3 days - Fri. through Sun.  Changes begin Mon. as a storm system develops over the Southeast U.S.  A few scattered showers develop later Sun. night-Mon. then it appears low pressure will intensify not too far from Jax & move up or just off the U.S. east coast.  Rain should increase Mon. night into Election Day & could make for a wet day at the Polls, especially in the morning.
It's possible this system will add salt to the Sandy wounds for parts of the Northeast.  Not nearly as intense as "Sandy", but the potential Nor'easter could be pretty strong & at least slow clean-up efforts by the middle of next week.

Oct. is in the weather history books.  Despite the "Superstorm", the month locally was really pretty tame.  Rainfall was 0.92" below avg. at 3.01".  The avg. temp. of 70.7 degrees was a mere 0.3 degrees above avg.  The big weather story was the turn to dry after many months of stormy & wet weather.  Our Jax N.W.S. provided the following Oct. rainfall repors:

Lots of activites the next few days.  Click here for info. on the "Charity Classic" at Queen's Harbor Fri. -- a fundraiser for the Wounded Warriors Project.  Click here for info. on the 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer's Sat. downtown....click here for info. on the "Wild Reading Safari" at our Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens Sat., a fundraiser for Episcopal Children's Services (I'll read at the Wild Florida stage @ 10:10am).  Then the Jags return home Sun. for 1pm kickoff against Detroit.  Though not as oppressive as the first few home games this season, it'll be plenty warm.
