One last day (for a while[!]) of spring-like weather:
Wed. will be windy & warm with southwest winds of 15-25 mph with gusts 30+ mph.  Temps. will quickly soar through the 70s in the morning topping out in the 80s.  The all-time Jan. high for JIA is 84 degrees, & we may very well reach the mid 80s!
The windy, warm day will be in advance of a large & strong storm system that will make for a messy day to our north & west including a wide range of weather from heavy rain, storm, flooding & tornadoes to near blizzard conditions.  But the storm will lift out quickly to the north/northeast & as it does so, the band of rain & storms will rapidly diminish as it races east to west across the First Coast Wed. night.  It's look like a few isolated showers could occur Wed. afternoon & evening then the band of rain will move west to east between roughly 7pm & 2am moving across metro Jax approximately between 9pm & midnight.  While there will be some gusty winds & brief heavy rain, I doubt there will be much if any severe weather by the time the band reaches Jax.  Rainfall will average a tenth to a third of an inch, locally a half inch over interior South Central Ga. but will only average a tenth of an inch or less with a few spots managing
a quarter inch for the rest of the area including Jax.
The weather story will then become the temp. drop as highs Thu. will only end up in the low 60s - 20 degrees lower than Wed. with lows by Fri. morning in the mid 30s & by Sat. morning in the low 30s - 50+ degrees lower than Wed. afternoon!  Inland areas can expect a light frost early Fri. & a light freeze/frost early Sat.

A beautiful photo below from Sherry Adair in Clay Co. near the Shands Bridge.  It's a classic example of a "mackeral" sky - altocumulus clouds.  So named because the cloud pattern resembles the scales of a fish.  Which what I explained to my daughters Sat. evening as we looked at the beautiful late day sky.
