JIA tied its daily record high Mon., 01/14 @ 81 degrees last set in 1888! That's just 3 degrees short of the all-time Jan. high recorded on several occasions. The warm spell will continue through Wed. with highs near or a little above 80. Somewhat cooler -- but still very mild air -- will move in Thu. followed by a wind shift to the north/northeast Fri. that will usher in much cooler air. Still....no freeze appears likely through at least the weekend. There are indications, however, of a possible stronger shot of cold air next week that could result in a few morning freezes. A freeze would help the early explosion of tree pollen, but I suspect there will still be 2 seasons of tree pollen this year unless we can somehow avoid another freeze this season which is highly unlikely. Record highs for the next few days including Mon.:
Mon.: 81 (tied)
Tue.: 83
Wed.: 84
Thu.: 84
