Hope you enjoyed the Mon. sun...& the relative warmth of Tue. The rest of this week will be cold & -- at times -- wet. An especially "interesting" winter storm will target the Southeast Fri.
First things first: a strong winter storm will swing into the Eastern U.S. Tue. & result in another blizzard for parts of the midwest to the Ohio Valley to the Mid Atlantic and New England. This one will cover a larger area than the weekend storm & have a huge impact on air travel just about everywhere east of the Rockies. The map below shows all the advisories, watches & warnings in effect.
This storm will bring some rain to the First Coast Tue. into Tue. evening. While coverage should be near 100%, amounts won't be great -- averaging a tenth to a third of an inch with maybe an isolated half inch amount here & there.

Secondly: cold air will funnel in behind the storm with highs Wed. struggling to make it into the 50s with gusty northwest winds. That'll be followed by a widespread inland freeze early Thu.
Thirdly: A fast-moving potent storm will move across the Gulf Coast Fri. bringing a cold rain to the First Coast with temps. only in the 40s. Snow & sleet will fall at least as far south as Central Ga., maybe I-16. It's not out of the question some frozen precip. could make it into at least SE Ga. by Fri. night. Accumulating snows could fall in Jackson, MS, Birmingham & Montgomery, AL., Atlanta & much of the Carolinas possibly as far south as Savannah.
Here are some of the storm totals from the massive weekend storm courtesy the N.W.S.:

Photos below are from Linda Clements -- sister in Philadelphia took the photo of the dogs in the snow...#2 is from George Fountain -- a friend in Wilmington, Delaware sent the photo of deep snow...the third photo is from Matt Murrell in Fairfield, OH showing a bike trail buried in about 6" of snow....& the fourth photo is from a friend of an Action News producer, Kizzie Pegues showing cars buried in the snow in Baltimore. And -- finally -- the last photo is a beautiful shot of the early Mon. shuttle launch taken by Jimmy Vernacotola from the intracoastal of Ponte Vedra.
