Finally! Cooler, drier air will roll across the First Coast this week putting an end to the many days of humidity & afternoon/evening rain & storms. Temps. will only top out between 75 & 80 Tue then anywhere from the upper 70s to mid 80s the rest of the week. Humidity will be noticeably lower too helping lows dip into the 50s inland....upper 60s to low 70s at the beaches. Onshore east winds will bring some moisture back to the area by late in the weekend into early next week with a few isolated showers. But after many spots had at least their average Oct. rainfall (3.5-4") the first 8 days of the month, a much drier stretch of weather is ahead.
More storm photos....the 1st pic below is from Amanda Carta on Jax's W'side, Sun. evening....the 2nd pic was snapped Mon. afternoon by Jenna Diermann & is a rain shaft looking NE from I-95/JTB....the 3rd pic is one I took Sun. afternoon looking N/NE from the Buckman Bridge. This towering cumulus cloud was right along the sea breeze & eventually developed into a t'storm just south of downtown & became part of a line of t'storms over W. Duval Co.

Fri. was another day full of interesting weather photos & scattered heavy afternoon storms developed that spawned waterspouts in the vicinity of Vilano Beach. Photos below are from Sean Viale, St. Augustine....Laura Taylor, Vilano Beach....Anthony Egelnk, Ponte Vedra Beach.
