A pretty dry weather pattern for the I-95 corridor & especially the beaches through Wed.  Isolated showers & storms will initiate near I-95 but quickly transition inland.  The focus for more widespread & more significant t'storms will be inland between Highway 301 & I-75.
Temps. will reach 90-95 degrees inland vs. the mid to upper 80s at the beaches.

Storms ignited along the I-75 corridor Mon. evening with the lightning visible from Jax.  Photos below are from Bob Brookens showing the classic cumulonimbus cloud looking W/NW from Glen St. Mary...pic #2 is from Bill in Lake City - lightning behind the tree.

Speaking of lightning...this week is "Lightning Safety Awareness Week".  We're nearing the peak of the lightning season as we have lightning somewhere in our viewing area of NE Fl. &/or SE Ga just about every day from mid June through at least mid Sept.  Click ** here ** for more on lightning safety: "When Thunder Roars, Go Indoors!".

Many enjoyed the beautiful full (so-called super) moon over the weekend.  Photos below are from Amanda Carta & "The Moores".
