Though "Debby" exited into the Atlantic not too far from Daytona Wed. morning, the storm's effects continue with widespread flooding & damage left in its wake.
JIA had a record 2-day total - Mon.-Tue. of of 12.56" breaking the old record of 12.11" set Sept.9-10, 1908.  The 3-day (Sun.-Tue.) total of 13.78" fell just short of the record 14.43" Aug.28-30th, 1968.
Check out the maps below.  The first one is courtesy our Jax N.W.S. & shows rainfall totals since Sun. from "Debby" -- mostly 3-day totals.  I've added a few with the 2nd map....the 3rd (& stunning!) map shows rainfall since May 27th when "Beryl" rolled ashore.  Fleming Island get the prize - 40.6" in the last 4 weeks!!

Photos below  are from Kelly Leannigan, Baker Co....Jessica Guy, JIA...Anthony Lewis, Edgewood Ave.....Mike Baker, St. Johns Bluff...Audrey, Middleburg...Christopher Reed, Murray Hill....& Noel McLaren, Action News reporter -- that's I-10!

The good news is the rain is over.  The bad news is it's going to get hot!  We'll hit 90 Thu. which is near avg. but well into the 90s & near 100 Fri. through early next week with heat indices 105-110.
