The upper level low will continue to influence weather on the First Coast as the low drifts slightly to the west.  Scattered showers & storms will rotate around the low moving to the north & northeast east of the upper low & to the south & southwest on the backside -- or west side -- of the upper low.  The upper low will slowly weaken & lift to the north by late in the week which will cause storms to become more widely scattered.  Temps. will slowly rise making it into the mid 90s by Fri. into the weekend.

The Kingfish tournament is Thu. & Fri.  Weather looks decent though there will be a risk for an afternoon shower or storm.

Japan has been hit hard by heavy rain -- especially southern parts of the island.  Click here for a map & info. from NASA.

Quite the opposite problem along the lower Mississippi River where -- a year after record flooding -- water levels are so low that some barges have been forced to reduce their cargo to be able to continue down the river.  Click here for the story.
