Our weather pattern the next few days will be dominated by easterly flow -- both at the surface & aloft.  The result:

* fast-moving brief but heavy showers spreading west off the Atlantic
* breezy east winds -- especially gusty at area beaches
* an elevated rip current risk
* mild temps. in the mid 80s @ the beaches but reaching the low 90s inland

The pattern this week will gradually shift to offshore south to southwest winds by late week so scattered showers & t'storms will increase some Fri. into the weekend & high temps. will reach the low to mid 90s.

The photo below was snapped by Vincenza Minando & shows one of the heavy showers Mon. approaching the coast.
