The warmer temps. are here with afternoon highs near 80 Fri. & the low to mid 80s Sat. It still looks like only isolated showers for most of the area with somewhat higher coverage for Homerville, Waycross & Blackshear in Ga. A cold front will finally drop far enough south to increase rain & isolated t'storms from west to east late Sat./Sat. night. The cold front will drift south of Jax Sun. with some lingering rain -- possibly as far south as I-4 which could affect the Daytona 500 Sun. afternoon. The front will move back to the north Sun. night-Mon. as low pressure moves into the SE U.S. which then pushes a cold front across the First Coast Mon. night-Tue. This should be a pretty decent set-up for rain, locally heavy & -- depending on how things evolve -- the potential for strong to severe storms.

There are indications of another big temp. dip in roughly a week or so. The jet stream will shift with a big dip over the Eastern U.S. opening the door for cold air to drop straight south of Canada. It's possible the First Coast will see another frost/freeze next weekend.
