Thu. will mark the peak of our latest warming trend with afternoon temps. well into the 80s. A weak cool front will move across the First Coast late Thu.-Thu. night shifting winds to the east/northeast Fri. which will drop temps., especially at the beachs. Highs at the beaches will only reach the low 70s but will still make it close to 80 degrees well inland. Metro Jax will have highs in the mid to upper 70s. Rain will be limited with the front -- only isolated insignificant showers late Thu.-Fri. It still looks like the best chance for more widespread significant rain will be late Sun. through Mon. & Tue.
