The arctic air is moving away & will be replaced by a quick warm-up. Highs in the 50s at the beaches & 60s inland Thu. will be tempered by gusty onshore east to northeast winds, plenty of cloudiness & even a few showers. Temps. will be much warmer Fri. & especially Sat. with highs soaring into the 70s Fri. (60s @ the beaches)... & in the mid 70s to around 80 Sat.
A pretty strong storm system will spread rain across the First Coast Sat. afternoon & evening. It looks like a solid band of rain with a few embedded t'storms will cross the area from west to east between noon Sat. & midnight. Everyone should get at least some rain & the question comes down to timing. So plan on rain for at least parts of Sat. -- heavy at times. The storm & front should clear the area by Sunday leaving cooler -- but still nice -- temps. with plenty of sun.
There continue to be indications of a surge of cold air for the middle of next week but models are a bit at odds on intensity & exact timing.
