Winter just doesn't want to let go.  Wed. will be windy & rather cool -- near 70 -- then temps. will plummet into the 30s by early Thu. & again early Fri. with highs inbetween -- on Thu. -- only near 60 degrees.  Winds will be lightest Thu. night so the coldest temps. & greatest chance for some inland light frost will be early Fri.  A nice warm-up for the weekend will push temps. well into the 70s.

Our best view of the comet PANSTARRS will be Wed. evening.  Look in the western sky after sunset just below the crescent moon.  The beautiful photo below was shot my Mike Rosset from his backyard in Mandarin.  For more info., go to my blog post from last Tue. -- click ** here ** .... & click ** here ** to go to "Sky & Telescope" for some excellent info., photos & "sky maps".
