JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Some new studies say the quality of cars and trucks are the best ever. So who's at the top of the list?
I looked at both auto reliability studies that came out in the last few weeks. One from JD Power and one from the Consumer Reports Annual Auto Guide. It's amazing how reliable cars are today. In fact, JD Power believes cars are the most reliable they've ever, ever been.
As far as what brands have really knocked it out of the park - as you might expect, some of the luxury brands, according to JD Power, have had the best track record over the first three years of ownership - Lexus tops the list.
But one regular-priced brand also made the top five and that's Toyota.
As for consumer reports, there's a stunner if you look at their annual auto guide.
Car after car after car has good records of reliability. In fact, the number of vehicles recommended to buy are by far the largest I've ever seen in their annual auto issue.
The automakers are doing a great job making better cars. You almost have to be unlucky to get a lemon. But in case you do, just go to my website
