JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Are you always on the web on your smart phone? One of the things we're told to do on our smart phone is to go from the cell phone companies data network to available WiFi wherever you are.
Well that's a good idea most of the time, but there's absolutely one time when you shouldn't use public WiFi. That's when you're accessing online banking.
This is because there are a bunch of people all around you who try to sniff out your connection, get your personal information and maybe steal your money.
Just remember this simple rule. Anytime you're going to a financial website do not use public WiFi on your smart phone or on your computer. Your wallet will thank you.
