JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- If you fly occasionally, it seems like we keep finding more fees for various things.
Well now three airlines are charging you for carry-on bags. You want to carry your bag on the plane instead of checking it underneath, you'll pay fees that range from $25 dollars to a $100 dollars per direction, per carry-on.
The airlines are unbundling the cost of everything. In the future you're going to see more and more where your airline ticket simply buys you a place to sit on the plane, and everything else will be extra.
So know that when you go to fly, the price you see shopping around for a ticket is only the starting point.
But clever entrepreneurs are already coming up with ways to beat the bag fees on airlines that charge you for a carry-on.
They make little tiny bags that don't get charged the fees. For more information go to ClarkHoward.com
