JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Did you hear one of the big camera makers, Olympus, is getting out of the traditional camera business called point and shoot cameras.

Why? Because that market is destroyed by the smart phones more and more of us are carrying.  In fact, you look at cell phone sales and typically half of all phones people are buying right now are smart phones and the cameras in them are getting better. You can edit the pictures on the phone and send them wherever you want.

So the camera business as we know it is going away.  What you're going to see is your cell phone is going to be your typical point and shoot.

The traditional camera companies are now coming out with really fancy cameras for specialized use, but for everyday use, your phone is going to be it.
