ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The beautiful Marsh Creek Country Club was not so beautiful for one member in a club championship recently as we tell a Tin Cup kind of story on our fourth Dream 18 hole of 2012.
Head PGA Professional Cary Splane tells the story of the second hole, which is a dogleg right over some marsh. Splane says that a few years ago, it took a member quite a few tee shots to get over the marsh. When things were all done and every stroke was counted, the member recorded a 23. That member did finish the round and we believe he did it with all of his clubs in one piece.
Former Florida Gators Heisman Trophy winner and head coach Steve Spurrier joins us on the second hole at Marsh Creek along with Splane, Mike Dempsey and a First Tee kid.
