PALATKA, Fla. - The Palatka Golf Club has been home to some of the area's best golfers and also the well known Azalea Tournament.
The Donald Ross designed course has been endangered in recent years because of the economic struggles with the game, but Bobby Weed is trying to change that.
Weed is a well known course designer and is tweaking some of the original beauty of Palatka Golf Club. Weed thinks the short course length, but challenging design is the way golf is headed in the future. The simplicity of Palatka Golf Club's design makes it a hidden gem in our area.
