JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Hidden Hills Country Club has some rich history over the years.  Gary Player won the Greater Jacksonville Open one time, but our golf story is all about a shot that's been tried many a times in past decades.

The shot was usually attempted late in the afternoon or early evening well after the fellas had played a round of golf.   The shot was taken from the bar in the old clubhouse and a plastic cup was used as a tee.

The player would have to hit the shot off the bar, out the door and onto a putting green two stories below.  The next shot would ben approach to the 9th green and hopefully a two putt for a four.  The old timers at Hidden Hills know all about this shot and the stories that go with it.

We tried the shot off the cup and out of the bar in addition to playing the 13th hole at Hidden Hills with Jacksonville University football coach Kerwin Bell and athletic director Joel Lamp.
