The high school football season is just about over with many local teams finishing up the district schedule on Friday night. Here's a quick recap of who made the playoffs and where they'll be headed in two weeks when the postseason starts.

8A

Fletcher ended the season with a victory over Mandarin but due to a DeLand win they finish as runner-up in district 1-8A. As a result the Senators must travel to Lake Brantley for the opening round.

7A

First Coast used a late touchdown to hold off Ed White and avoid a three-way tiebreaker. The Bucs win the 2-7A championship and host Buchholz in round one. The First Coast win also secures the runner-up position for Fleming Island. The Eagles will travel to Lincoln to begin the playoffs.

6A

Columbia and Ridgeview were already locked in as the #1 and #2 seeds out of district 3-6A and now know their opponents for the first round. The Tigers will host 4-6A runner-up Bartram Trail while Ridgeview heads to 4-6A champ St. Augustine after the Jackets held off a game Atlantic Coast team in the final week.

5A

Baker County and Bishop Kenny squared off with the 3-5A title on the line and the Wildcats won a shootout against the Crusaders to earn the crown. Baker County will host Creekside in the first round after the Knights emerged from a crowded race for second in district 4-5A. Bishop Kenny heads to Ponte Vedra to face a Sharks team that has won eight in a row.

4A

Yulee took the week off with a district title already in hand and will face Taylor County when the postseason begins. Meanwhile West Nassau beat Fernandina Beach this week to determine the district runner-up. The Warriors trek to East Gadsden for the opening round. Also on the road will be the runner-up from district 4-4A. That team could be Raines with a win on Saturday otherwise it'll take a three-way tiebreaker to decide the spot between the Vikings, Ribault, and Jackson. Bolles has already won the 4-4A championship and will host Mount Dora in round one.

3A

Trinity Christian secured another district title by beating Episcopal. The Conquerors host Pensacola Catholic to start the postseason. District 2-3A runner-up Providence hits the road to take on Madison.

2A

The 2-2A race was already decided with University Christian finishing first and Eagle's View in second. UC plays host to FAMU while the Warriors head to North Florida Christian.

1A

The only area teams making the postseason in 1A will face off in round one with Union County hosting Hilliard.

GA

Georgia teams still have another week of region play but Camden County is already assured a championship in 1-AAAAAA after the big win against Lowndes. They've earned the right to host in the first two rounds of the playoffs. Charlton County is still fighting for a playoff spot in a region full of parity.
