JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An initial look at three players or units whose performance were up and three who were down in the Jaguars 22-17 win against the Colts.

UP

1. Maurice Jones-Drew
The running back for his career owns the Colts, and that was no different today. Jones-Drew finishes with 177 yards on 28 carries and a 59 yard touchdown to help pace the offense.

2. Offensive Line
The line, anchored by Eugene Monroe, has a good all around performance. The running game was effective with a 5.8 yards per carry average. Blaine Gabbert was relatively untouched suffering only one sack on the afternoon.

3. Cecil Shorts
As I wrote before the game good things are happening for this offense when Cecil Shorts is on the field. He has 2 targets with 1 reception for 80 yards and the game winning touchdown.

Down

1. Secondary
Andrew Luck torches the secondary for 313 yards and 2 touchdowns. Helped out with a no call on pass interference late in the game on a 3rd down and 20 play in which they let Donnie Avery get behind everyone. They follow up that drive by allowing the Colts to drive into field goal position and kick a go ahead field goal with under a minute to play.

2. Josh Scobee
Kicker has a poor kickoff after the late touchdown by Shorts. Saw the same problem in week 1 after the go ahead score in that game. Only 1 of his 6 kickoffs go for touch backs as he seems to not be kicking off as well this season.

3. Coaching Staff
The staff did a good job with the play calling on the first drive of the game. The rest of the game not so much. Rarely did they try to move guys around to get favorable match ups or have plays to try and fool the defense. Also poor decision to run on 1st and 10 with 2:01 left in the game and the Colts holding 2 timeouts. That was a time to take a shot down the field as it would have been a stoppage of play regardless the outcome.
