JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--Head coach Mike Mularkey says the Jaguars just finished up the best 9 on 7 practice of the summer.  "There were a lot of guys on the ground", Mularkey said in his Monday presser, adding that being a smart, physical team is all part of the plan.

The final preseason game is Thursday at 6:30 against the Atlanta Falcons on CBS47.  Mularkey came to the Jaguars after four seasons as the offensive coordinator in Atlanta.  The two offenses are similar so Mularkey expects the defense to play well because they have been practicing against it for the past month.

The first team offense could play a couple of drives depending on how they do.  Mularkey wants the first team to stay in there long enough to have some success.  One other interesting comparison will be how Blaine Gabbert plays against Matt Ryan.  Mularkey was asked to compare the two and says they are both big, athletic guys who love to compete. Coach added that he needs to have a full year with Gabbert before he can really compare the two quarterbacks.

This will be a big game for guys on the roster bubble.  Mularkey singled out Antwan Blake, Kevin Elliott, Jeris Pendleton and Joshua Jones as guys who are standing out but need a big game to grab a roster spot.

We start with the Jaguars pregame show at 6:00 Thursday with the Falcons and Jaguars to follow on CBS47.
