JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars turn to a veteran to help fill out its depth chart at defensive back and on special teams by signing Will Blackmon.

The Providence, R.I., native was originally drafted by Green Bay in 2006. He has also spent time with the New York Giants and most recently with the Seattle Seahawks. In college, he played for Boston College and saw action at both cornerback and wide receiver.

Blackmon has logged two starts over 43 games in the NFL. He made most of his impact in the return game, averaging 9.5 yards on 67 punt returns and 20.7 yards over 81 kickoffs. Blackmon has also recorded 21 tackles and five fumble recoveries.

To make room for Blackmon, the team waived rookie cornerback Marcus Burley.

If they wanted a big morale boost as they claimed and to really shake things up they would acquired Tim Tebow. Instead that insulted the coach for some reason. He should realize much like ancient Rome giving the people what they want is just as important as doing things to win.
