Two first-year players were waived – WR Toney Clemons and DE Ryan Davis

There were also seven rookies waived including DT T.J. Barnes, OT R.J. Dill, TE Ryan Otten, WR Tobais Palmer, QB Matt Scott, S Steven Terrell and LB Mike Zimmer.

“It’s always tough to let go of men that have played such an important role in what we are building here,” Jaguars general manager David Caldwell said.  “We are excited to get the 2013 regular season underway and we will continue to compete on a daily basis to build the best roster possible.”
