JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--The Jaguars finally put one in the "W" column in the team's final preseason game. Most of the starters didn't play on either side, but in the end the Jaguars were able to grab a victory, 20-16.
The Jaguars struck first on Chad Henne's second drive of the game, with Jordan Todman doing most of the work including covering the final 18 yards on a run for an early 7-0 lead. Todman by the way continued his impressive preseason by adding 60 more yards on just 9 carries. For the preseason, Todman had more than 200 yards on the ground and a better than 7 yards per carry average.
Henne who may have to start the opener if Blaine Gabbert can't go was 6 of 10 with an interception. Jaguars rookie Matt Scott made a big mistake towards the end of the first half when he was sacked and lost the football. Jonathan Massaquoi picked it up and ran into the endzone.
After the Falcons came all the way back to take a second half lead, Mike Kafka did hook up with Jeremy Ebert for what would prove to be the game winning touchdown. With the win the Jaguars finish at 1-3 this preseason. Roster cuts are coming. All NFL teams have to be down to 53 players by 6pm Saturday.
The Jaguars open the regular season a week from Sunday at Everbank against the Kansas City Chiefs.
