JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--The Jacksonville Jaguars today signed rookie linebacker Jerrell Harris to the practice squad and waived linebacker Mike Mohamed from the practice squad.
Harris, 6-3, 242, was signed as a rookie free agent by Atlanta in 2012 and was waived during final cuts. Harris was a four-year letterman at Alabama and part of two national championship teams. He recorded 22 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss as a senior. He played in 10 games as a junior and totaled 24 tackles for the nation’s fifth-ranked defense. A native of Gadsden, Alabama, Harris attended Gadsden City High School where he finished his career as the No. 3 linebacker in the country.
