JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Jaguars today were awarded fourth-year defensive tackle Kyle Love off waivers from New England.   Love joins former teammate Brandon Deaderick on the defensive line in Jacksonville as both make the migration south.   The Jaguars’ roster stands at the NFL limit of 90 players.
Love, 6-1, 315, spent the past four seasons with New England after signing as a rookie free agent in 2010.  He has played in 41 career games with 25 starts, recording 80 tackles (49 solo), 5.5 sacks, one pass defensed and one fumble recovery.  Of his 25 starts, 24 came in the last two seasons.
In 2012 Love appeared in all 16 games and totaled a career-high 40 tackles (24 solo) and 1.5 sacks.  He saw action in both postseason games for the Patriots.  He registered a career-high three sacks in 2011 while making 13 starts and started all three of the club’s postseason games.
The Fairburn, Georgia native was a four-year letterman at Mississippi State where he started 23 games.  He attended North Clayton High School in College Park, Georgia where he was a four-year starter along the offensive line and also lettered in basketball, baseball and track and field.  Love was born in South Korea, where his father was stationed as an officer in the United States Army.
