JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Jaguars today signed first-year cornerback Korey Lindsey to the practice squad and placed rookie cornerback Antonio Dennard on practice squad injured reserve with a groin injury.

Lindsey, 5-10, 194, entered the NFL as a seventh-round pick of Cincinnati in 2011 and has also spent time with Arizona and Indianapolis.  He has not played in an NFL regular season game.   He was waived by the Bengals on Sept. 3, 2011 and claimed off waivers by Arizona where he spent the second half of the season on the club’s practice squad.  Lindsey was waived by the Cardinals on May 30, 2012 and claimed off waivers by the Colts where he played in the preseason before he was waived on final cuts.

A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Lindsey was a three-year starter at Southern Illinois and helped lead the team to two FCS postseason berths.  He was a two-time first-team All-America selection and became the first player in school history to earn three straight All-Missouri Valley Conference first-team selections.  He completed his collegiate career with 14 interceptions, the third-most in school history.   Lindsey attended Scotlandville Magnet High School where he starred at wide receiver and defensive back.

Lindsey will wear jersey number 41.
