JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- The Jacksonville Jaguars do not have a quarterback controversey but it sure is fun to look at the 15-13 win and take apart the numbers.  David Garrard was 7 of 12 for 99 yards and an interception in his first action of the preseason for a qb rating of 50.3.

Blaine Gabbert relieved Garrard and made some nice plays but also was sacked.  Gabbert goes 11 of 23 for 96 yards and a qb rating of 59.3.  Luke McCown takes the Jags in for the first touchdown of the preseason.  McCown with a "Joe Montana-like" 8 of 9 for 86 yards and a touchdown for a qb rating of 143.5.

The Jags go to Buffalo next week.  Brent Martineau breaks down the win in Action Sports 360 Saturday night on Fox30 at 10:30 and 11:20 on CBS47.

mcCown is the best QB for now garrard sucks he only had one good year since then he has sucked. gabbert will be the QB of the future for sure he is only a rookie and he will make rookie mistakes. mcCown was the #1 last year untill he got hurt. start mcCown or gabbert this week, get rid of garrard he is a waste of money!!!!!!!!

I watched both games & here are my beliefs: * Garrard is still too slow, not an accurate passer, and doesn't know how to use the clock. * Gabbert is faster than Garrard, is more accurate that Garrard, and has a stronger throwing arm than Garrard. But Gabbert is too hesitant... He wastes time, and doesn't know how to use the clock. In addition, he doesn't pass enough.... * McCown is very fast, and knows how to use the clock, and is not afraid to pass. McCown has a stronger arm than Garrard, but a weaker arm than Gabbert. McCown is a more accurate passer that Garrard, but is not as accurate as Gabbert.. In conclusion, Garrard is the worst of the three. McCown and Gabbert each are good, but each have flaws... Of the two, McCown is the best at the moment. McCown doesn't hesitate, is fast, accurate most of the time, and throws alot, and understands how to use the clock. Gabbert is afraid to pass, even though he is a very fast and accurate passer. * Garrard needs to be let go. * McCown will be a good main QB passer, but is not as accurate as Gabbert. * Gabbert needs to be back-up QB to McCown until he can stop being afraid to throw the ball...
