Monroe deal finalized, Joeckel ready for move
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Jaguars have officially traded left tackle Eugene Monroe to the Baltimore Ravens for a 4th and 5th round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
Monroe said his goodbyes in the Jaguars locker room on Wednesday and flew to Baltimore this morning.
The move means Luke Joeckel now assumes the left tackle spot for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams.
The Jaguars first round pick in April's draft is a left tackle by trade, but had moved to the right side becaue of Monroe. The Jaguars will now start Austin Pasztor at right tackle on Sunday.
Joeckel is excited about going back to his natural position.
"I've always dreamed of being a left tackle in the NFL," said Joeckel.
