Paul Posluszny added to Pro Bowl Roster
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny is headed to Hawaii as a replacement pick for the Pro Bowl. Posluszny earns the spot after San Francisco's Patrick Willis withdrew with an injury.
Posluszny ended the year with 161 tackles, good enough for second best in the NFL and tops in Jacksonville. He also added three sacks and two interceptions including one of Peyton Manning returned for a touchdown.
The Jags selection ends a two year drought for the franchise with Jacksonville's most recent pro bowlers coming in 2011 when Maurice Jones-Drew and Montell Owens went to Hawaii. Poz also becomes the first defensive player selected from the Jags since 2006 when John Henderson and Rashean Mathis were selected.
Instead of being split into conferences the players will be split up based on a player draft Wednesday with Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders serving as team captains. The Pro Bowl takes place Sunday, January 26th in Honolulu.
