Update on Gabbert and Jags notes
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert was walking around the Jags facility Monday afternoon and told reporters he should be ok after injuring his ankle during practice.
Towards the end of Monday's practice session, Gabbert collided with guard Uche Nwaneri's foot and went down in obvious pain after taking a shot to his right ankle. He slammed his helmet in frustration but did walk off under his own power to the cool zone where he was checked out by trainer Mike Ryan. Coach Gus Bradley didn't seem too concerned with the injury but did not the team must take a "next man up" attitude when it comes to guys getting hurt.
In other news receivers Mike Brown and Ace Sanders continue to make plays in camp. Sanders specifically was dominating against fellow rookie Dwayne Gratz during one on one passing drills. Rookie running back Denard Robinson who's been struggling catching the football stayed after practice to work extra on his hands.
The Jags have tomorrow off, before returning to the practice fields on Wednesday, and will scrimmage inside the stadium Saturday at 6:45pm.
