JACKSONVILLE,
Fla. – Can you imagine a baby, reaching for a mom who's never there? Not knowing if he has eyes or hands that look like his fathers?
"I don't know my father. I was taken from my mother as a baby. I've been in DCF my entire life,” 15-year old Jimmy tells me.
All his life so far, Jimmy has been wondering why he doesn't he have a mom and dad like his friends at school?
"It's been tough, I've been in so many foster homes and group homes,” he tells me.
Jimmy tells me the toughest part about foster care is knowing at any time he could get the call that it's time to move on to the next home.
"I'm ready to live with an actual family,” he said.
Jimmy shared with me, why adoption would mean the world to him. It would simply mean, someone cares.
"I'd be thankful to have a family, I've wanted one my entire life. I want a dad, cause I've never had one,” he says.
