JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- They're two boys who love each other and they love the idea that maybe there's a special family out there some where that may be looking for them for adoption. Joshua and Jay are hoping the day is finally here. They're waiting for their case worker to call saying, someone wants to meet them and maybe take them home.

"I've been in eight homes", says Joshua who's 11. He's only a year older than his little brother.

Joshua and Jay tell me they ended up in foster care because of dangerous conditions at home. Their mother wouldn't take her medication, which lead to neglect and accidents with the children. There are seven brothers and sisters in all they tell me.

Right now, Joshua and Jay are in separate foster homes and it hurts them being apart. That's why they're hoping for the ultimate, which is adoption, so they never have to be apart. Plus, they'll have a mom and dad who can take the burden off of not having a permanent home to call their own.

"I need a mom so she can help me be a better child and dress me up", says Jay. "And a dad for protection and help me with questions I have about things".

The big question for them right now, is when are their adoptive parents coming? They've been waiting for five years now since they've been in foster care. They're hoping soon the wait will be over.
