JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Other than being outside on his bike, 10-year old Sebastian loves to eat! That's one of the first things he told me when I met him for our Jacksonville Children's segment. Since I love food too, we grew to be fast friends. What makes Sebastian such a delightful boy is his easy going nature and he's so polite. He held the doors open for me and invited me in on conversations with his foster family.

Sebastian's all-time favorite hero is his grandmother. She saved him from an abusive home when he was just a baby. She was his protector and his best friend, but he wouldn't have her for very long.

"My grandmother died and my grandpa couldn't take care of me anymore, I had to go", Sebastian told me.

She died when he was 8-years old. Because there were no family members to take him in, Sebastian was put in foster care. He's been in the system for two years now, and his case workers tells me he's doing well. They believe he'll flourish even more with an adoptive family. The first thing Sebastian wants to do when he's adopted is go fishing. He's never been before. He's also hoping for help making the A/B honor roll. We're hoping for a big catch for Sebastian--adoption. It's a special request from a special little boy. Could it be you?
