The end of May is rapidly approaching and it is hard to believe we have been in the makeover process for a month already! This past week Matt and I met with an investment specialist at our VyStar branch. Meeting Rick totally helped Matt and I understand a great deal about how to really prepare for our family's future. Prior to getting involved with the VyStar Money Makeover, Matt and I had considered cashing out his 401K to pay off our debt, to basically give us a clean slate. Rick broke the numbers down for us and if we had done that, we would have lost almost $11,000! I am so thankful he showed us that, it was such an eye opener! He also told us we really need to focus on paying our savings first, then pay our bills, and then live without regret! I think that is so important to follow that philosophy! Matt and I would really like to thank Coach Darlynn and Rick for showing us how to get our finances on track. It has only been a month and I feel like I can just breathe easier when I sit down to pay the bills! We are getting ready to have a huge garage sale so stay tuned for the trials and tribulations of getting ready for that!
