Eagle Island is great for couples, families, honeymooners and ladies' weekends. The island has seen it all. You don't even have to worry about bringing anything with you. Captain Andy and his staff do all the grocery shopping for you and they stock the house before your arrival. You will also have access to a boat and blue crab traps for a true private island dinner.
Of course, if you have a boat of your own, and you know how to navigate the Intracoastal, you can also arrive on your own. No check in or check out time is required. Just make sure you book ahead of time to make sure the house is available.
Eagle Island is about 80 miles from Jacksonville. Just travel north on I-95 to exit 42. From there you want to drive east to Darien, Georgia. There's a marina where you can catch a boat right off Highway 99.
