JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A Taste of Thai is located on University Boulevard in Jacksonville. This week the state health inspector found 14 violations here. Eight of them were high priority meaning they could make you sick.
Here's what we found in the report:
A stop sale was issued on egg rolls that were eight days old
Workers weren't sanitizing some equipment correctly
Live and dead roaches were also found in the kitchen
Aura, the owner of A Taste of Thai says she's been running the restaurant for 15 years. She wants her customers to know how sorry she is. She says, "In Florida we do have roaches. We try to do everything right. The lady came by and sprayed for roaches the week before... she just came again and took care of it. The day the inspector came by I told her we had not set up the sanitizing sink yet. We're very sorry. I didn't expect this at all. I'm so sorry."
Mezze Bar & Grill on Hendricks Avenue in Jacksonville and Salsas Mexican Restaurant on Beach Boulevard rounded out the top of the list for the restaurants with the most number of critical violations.
