Jacksonville, Fla. - China House is local on Regency Square Boulevard in a small strip mall. It has been in business for three years now. Annie told us she's "kind of" the manager and when we asked about the owner she offered to call him.
The inspector found 17 critical violations at China House including no chemical sanitizer to clean the dishes, black build-up inside the ice machine, no proof of employee training and an expired food manager certificate. You can see the full report for
China House here.
The owner didn't answer but Annie gladly answered a few questions for us. She told us she has been trained at the restaurant and that they fixed the sanitation problem with the dishes. Annie told us if a customer came in and wanted to see inside the kitchen, she would gladly let them in. When we asked to do so... her response was, "You know, I cannot because the owner not here."
Here are the other restaurants at the top of the list this week for critical violations.
At La Nopalera Mexican Restaurant on Saint Johns Avenue there were 17 critical violations including live flies in the kitchen - a repeat violation. You can see that

At Casa Maria Authentic Mexican Restaurant on S. 3rd Street in Jacksonville Beach there were 17 critical violations including a stop sale issued on some food for temperature abuse. You can see the violations by
