Jacksonville, Fla. - The China Super Buffet is located in a large shopping center not far from I-95 on Dunn Avenue in Jacksonville. It's popular for the low price lunch and dinner buffet. The restaurant manager was called as soon as we came in. The state health insector found 20 critical violations here including:
Blue crab from an unapproved source
Beef and noodles at unsafe temperatures
Gaskets with slime and mold
The handwash sink being used as a dump sink

Manager Tom Yarborough told us he was happy to see us, "We're glad to see y'all come in here it keeps everyone on their toes."
He then gave us a tour of the kitchen showing us all violations are fixed.
We asked, "What would you like to say to your customers about this report?" Tom responded, "They all know our food is clean and no one is getting sick here and they know we have the freshest, best food on the market."
Here are the other restaurants at the top of the list this week for critical violations.
Mango Mango's Beachside Bar & Grill in Saint Augustine had 20 critical violations including an employee handling lettuce without gloves and live flies in the kitchen. You can see that

At The Bunnery Bakery & Café in Saint Augustine there were 16 violations including batter, ham, tuna, poultry, eggs, pork and salad being held at unsafe temperatures. A rusty chest freezer was also being used as a food prep station. Check out that report by
