Convection continues to be active across the Caribbean but with virtually no organization. This trend should continue, & it still looks like possible tropical development this week over the Western Caribbean &/or SW Gulf of Mexico with the SW Gulf/Bay of Campeche most favored at this point.  Eventual movement will be dictated by an upper level ridge of high pressure that's becoming established across parts of the Southern U.S. during the upcoming week. In the meantime, occasional heavy rain & rough surf will affect much of the Caribbean for at least the next several days.

Weak low pressure has developed over the Cental Atlantic northeast of Bermuda. Slow subtropical development is possible but movement will be north/northeast over the open Atlantic & away from the U.S.
