T.D. #8 Becomes "Gordon"......

Tropical
depression #7's remnants are inland over Central America. The wave will turn more northward & some forecast models show an attempt at development over the far Western Gulf by this weekend. This is possible but only if the wave can get back over the warm water long enough.  No threat to Florida.

Tropical depression #8 has become "Gordon" in the Central Atlantic. Recurvature is already underway, & the storm will move east/northeast toward the Azores the next several days in the far E. Atlantic becoming extratropical by at least early next week. No impact on the U.S. OR Bermuda.

Another tropical wave is coming off the coast of Africa in the far E. Atlantic a few hundred miles southeast of the Cape Verde Islands & has the potential to gradually develop but EARLY indications are for a recurvature.
