"Nadine" in the Central Atlantic....

"Nadine"  remains over the open Central Atlantic & continues to battle less than perfect conditions for strengthening, namely southwesterly shear & nearby dry air.  Models still show significant strengthening, but that seems to be a hallmark of this season's intensity forecast by the models -- generally over-zealous.  "Nadine" will stay well east of Bermuda thanks to a strong upper level trough & surface cold front over the Western & N. Atlantic steering "Nadine" sharply east then a little northeast over the open Atlantic.

The tropical wave that came off the coast of Africa Wed. is steadily progressing west at a more southern latitude than past waves.  Any development would be slow but several long range forecast models have hinted at development in the Caribbean or even Gulf of Mexico the last week to 10 days of Sept. & perhaps this wave could be the culprit.
