JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police responded to a mobile home on Dandy Avenue in Arlington on Wednesday night after reports of a stabbing.

Action News has learned one man died from his injuries. A second man is in custody as a person of interest.

"It's senseless. I can't believe it," said neighbor Ralph Walls.

Police say a fight that started inside the moble home ended outside.

"It's looking like it may have started inside and worked its way outside. We have crime scenes both in and out," said Sgt. Jay Farhat with JSO.

Neighbors tell Action News Jeremiah Westberry was in his mid-20's and lost his life over something insignificant.

"They got into an argument over a bicycle, who owned the bicycle, what like that," Walls said. "He's a real nice guy, calm, he'd do anything for ya."

Walls says making this tragedy even more painful, Jeremiah was the only child his mom had left. Now three have been killed in crimes that never should have happened.

"This is her third son she loset. One son in a car accident, and a daughter got beat to death some kind of way and now she just lost this son, and I know she's just tore up I don't know what she's going through."

Police say there were several witnesses to the stabbing. They're speaking with them as well.

Another life taken in "sin city" over something as trivial as a bicycle. His mother does have a tragic life story to share about 3 of her children dying. A daughter beaten to death? Another son died in a car wreck. My sincere condolences to the family.
