ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- An apparent verbal dispute among family members led to one person being shot in a neighborhood in the Country Club of Orange Park Saturday evening, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say Riad Akel, 42, shot his brother-in-law in the stomach in a home on the 2500 block of Huntington Way.
Maher Harb was reportedly transported to UF Health Jacksonville in serious condition.
A press release states Akel was arrested at the scene without incident and charged with aggravated assault and armed burglary.
