CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An 11-year-old boy is at Levine Children's Center in Charlotte after police said he tried to kill himself because he was bullied.

Michael Morones' parents have spoken out, saying he was bullied for liking the TV show, "My Little Pony."

People across the country have heard Michael’s story and are going to tattoo shops, getting tattoos of the show's characters in a push to take a stand against bullying.

“It's a reminder for us that every day I see that tattoo and I think that what I say to somebody might affect them in a way that pushes them over the board. They might be the person who hurts themselves," said Justine Zerangue, an employee at Customs Tattoo Shop.

Tattoo stores in Louisiana and Texas are donating proceeds to the Morones' anti-bullying campaign and to the family to help with hospital costs.

I hope the father of the bully handles his son relative to his actions.

Bullying can make people's lives pure hell, but the real problem is pack bullying. An alpha male (yes they are just like animals) lead the pack into doing something like this. Friends goad the bullies on enjoying the entertainment from it. Still parents need to teach their kids that suicide is not the way out. When you do that the bullies win.

Hang in there little guy and remeber the people that are bullying you are just punks that are jealous for not being able to say what they like or think or feel. When you look at them feel sorry for them, they are the trully tortured ones, they are the ones who are so messed up on the inside that they have to try and find people to pick on to make themselves feel better. No worries little brother, there is a country full of strong people like yourself that dont care what the losers have to say. Hang in thier and like whoever and whatever you want, just dont become a bully yourself someday forcing others to agree with you... at your age its hard to understand sometime but the world is full of bullies, they just dress is suits and have names like congressman or president before their real names!!! Don tlet any of them get to you as thats how they get thier power. its really pretty gross
