BAKER COUNTY, Fla. -- A single vehicle wreck claimed the life of a teenager Saturday evening along County Road 139.

Austin Kight, 17, was driving a Ford pickup truck in the northbound lanes when he attempted to pass another vehicle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash report states, Kight left the road in the pickup truck and attempted to steer back to the roadway when he overcorrected and ended up overturning the vehicle into the woods.

Both Kight and 17-year-old Cory Craig were transported to area hospitals in serious condition. Jordan Alexis Sommise, 14, was declared dead on scene by first responders.

FHP says charges are pending.
