2 Jacksonville men in jail, charged with murder

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Bryan Flowers, 26 and Jimmie Gardner, 26, were arrested Thursday and Friday and charged with the murder of Edward Williams III.

Lt.Rob Schoonover with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the men were apparently involved in a drug deal.

Williams was shot and killed Sept. 12 at about 3:30 a.m. in the Arlington Village Apartments on Bert Road. He was taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center, where he died.

Witnesses say they saw Flowers and Gardner approach Williams with guns out, shoot him and flee the scene.
